Rebel Brand
Rebel Brand is a streetwear label with a cult following and a checkout that scared newcomers away. Drops sold out to regulars while first-time buyers bounced at sizing, shipping and returns.
The challenge
Design a mobile-first shopping experience loud enough for the brand but calm enough to convert — without dulling its edge.
The approach
I kept the attitude in the art direction and removed it from the friction points: a two-tap size finder, honest delivery promises and a returns flow written like a human. Drop-day queues got a waiting room with live stock counts.
What the project included
- Research. Session replays, support-ticket analysis and interviews with lapsed buyers.
- Product & drop UX. Size finder, drop calendar, waiting room and restock alerts.
- Checkout. Single-page checkout with express wallets and transparent fees.
- Design QA. Device lab testing through two live drops and a returns-flow audit.
What changed
First-time buyer completion improved, drop-day support tickets fell, and the brand kept every decibel of its personality. The size finder alone paid for the project.
